Random Spam #1

randomdorndsppam

Yay! I have been invited to the USA version of Deal Or No Deal! Oh it’s just spam. And the link takes you to some completely unrelated mobile text competition service. And I wanted to meet the ladies with the cases, I mean appear on the show to win some money. You see in the UK where I live, we don’t get the ladies with the cases thing. But we do get Noel Edmunds, who’s clearly a legend.

Blogger Mobile Suggestion For Blogger

Overall, I'm a big fan of the Blogger format. I have tried a varity of blogging platforms over the years, their are lots of good ones, but Blogger is defintly one of my favioutes, and has had some great improvements over the years. The Blogged On...... series of blogs  have stuck with using Blogger over the years, this very blog is a Blogger bog, and they have served us well. Been sticking with Blogger for some years now. When ever using Blogger I have found it to be a good platform for blogging, and it is one I would recommend to you.
One thing I'd like to suggest to team Blogger is about the mobile version of Blogger, the official Blogger app. The Blogger app, which is what I'm using as I write this to you now, usually runs very smoothly, and for someone who often blogs on the go, it's a very handy app. So many thanks for it team Blogger. I'd like to ask Blogger if they had thought about adding to this app some other features from the web version. Sure, in some ways it maybe handy to just have the basic creating and publishing features. But often I'm on the go and hoping to work on one of the blogs, with something other then the posting features. For example, people may find it handy to have the stats pages avaliable, or a mobile friendly version of the blogger edit section-for layout, templates, and all you would normally be able to access on the full version of Blogger editing, that is something I'd like to see. On the phones I've tested I have yet to find a browser that can fully make use of all the editing features on the Blogger app, so I think it would be great if Blogger could make either a mobile app or web friendly version of Blogger, where the options you can't currently use on mobiles would become avaliable.

Get Jam! (Please)

The app this post is about is actually called Get Jam, it wasn't that I was ordering you to get some jam, although by all means if you would like to, please do. The app I'm talking about is a mobile exclusive app where you are rewarded for watching videos on your mobile device. You get berries for watching videos which are what count as your points. Their are different amounts of points avaliable for watching each video, but most often they are around the 5-15 points mark. The videos are often promoting a brand or film, as well as being able to get points which you can redeem for prizes, you may well find the videos intresting, their usually only a minute or so long so quite short, It's a good way for advertisers to get their messages across.
Here's what you can redeem your berries for;

Paypal (Speedy delivery)   £2.50 for 300points

Paypal(Standard delivery)   £2.50 for

Amazon   £10 voucher for 1200 points

itunes gift certificate   £10 for 1200 berries or £15 for 1800 berries

Top Up mobile phone credit (Very nice idea to feature this as a reward on a mobile app), for this option you will need to choose your network and required phone top up amount, a good range of networks are available to choose from.

Tunetribe voucher   £2.50 for 300 points

So a nice range of rewards to choose from.

Their is also a offers page where you can earn berries for completing offers such as joining a website. I have been using Get Jam for quite a lot of months so far and I have to say, I think their great app, I don't really have a bad word to say about them. The only thing I'd highlight is that after watching the video, remember to bank your berries by clicking the bank button underneath the video, if you leave the page without doing so then no berries for you, if you leave the video page after playing the clip without hitting the bank button, it will count as you not watching it.
So, if you have an iphone or android or blackberry then this app comes highly recommended as a rewarding video programme. You can download Get Jam free from your systems app store.

Here's Get Jam's official website:

Wondered what celebrity you look like? Well http://www.myheritage.com/ has a feature that aims to tell you. Click http://celebrity.myheritage.com/celebrity-collage to go their. Here you can try out myheritage's face recognition technology where after uploading a photo of yourself, you can create a collage of your celebrity lookalikes and upload them to profiles, blogs or send them via email. I'm going to have a try on a photo of me, the ones I have seen so far of other people's matches I can see why it's picked the celebs it has for them. After your matches are shown you get a percentage of how much you actually look like them. Good little website to try out.

OK, so here we are with Google+. Well once you have signed up( if you have already signed up with any of Google's other services you can use the same username and password) you can now check out your homepage which will have this kind of layout.I have edited out any parts from my contacts that I don't have permission to include in the screenshots, other then that this should look just like your page, focusing on the 'stream' area. Maybe without a profile photo of me, if you have got that profile pic then you have some explaining too do, don't you?

So, here we have a familiarly set out layout to those who have used the likes of facebook, with the 'box' to update your status and add to your stream pics, movies, ect. When you decide to add something to your stream you then need to decide which of your contacts to send the update too.  Now, this is where Google+ is a different from other social networking websites like the mentioned facebook.. When you want to add something to your stream and then decide who to send to, you need to decide which 'circle' to send to.

In The Circle

Now 'circle' is the name Google + gives to a group of contacts. You create these groups under the 'circles' section. These are where you store your contacts-you add them to a circle that represents the group of contacts they are. For example when you sign up you will already be given some circles, one is Friends, so you can add your friends to that circle. Say you were uploading a photo you wanted to show the contacts in your friends circle, you would select their circle and the photo would then be sent to that group. If you then wanted to send the photo to another group of contacts, then you would also need to select their circle.

So that's the circle system in brief. Now what you can add to your stream is the classic social networking fare; text, videos, photos and they have also gone the way of the likes of forsquare in that you can post the location are at with the messages you send to your stream.
Next, I'll post on the other features of Google+.

Google+facebook=ANew Social Network Winner?
Earlier on, I had my first try of the Google+, the new social networking website from Google. It had been invite only, but as you may have found like I did, on Google's homepage  an invite can appear (displaying an arrow) showing you how you can try Google+. So if you have not yet had an invite by email to Google+ you may find you can try it through that way. Now Google+ is still in it's beta stage, so everything may not be as the makers want for when the complete version is ready to be rolled out. But this beta gives you a chance to see some of what Google+ has to offer and try out what could turn out to be a very different style social networking website. Coming up on my next post, a look at what I have found Google+ has to offer at the moment, as well as what I think of it so far.

Google+ Pictures, Images and Photos
So here it is, Google+. Wonder what those facebook creators are thinking of Google's entry in their territory?

Email Service-Spam,Lot's Of Bras And Mail.com

Hello their, just been shifting through my emails over at Gmail and was wondering if I was the only ones who's emails seemed to be very bra themed. I'm not talking about websites I have signed up to that are about bras, it's emails from such sites as ArcMax which I signed up for their jokes for example, who today alone I have an advert from one of their sponsors telling me to 'Find the bra you'll just love' under the title of 'Sexy and supportive bras' as well as ArcMax also offering me a sponsor advert urging me to 'Find the perfect bra that's stylish and beautiful'. After their, I've been getting more increasingly often, I regularly get bra related emails from a number of companies and if I ever find myself needing help on bra related information (for example if I do decide to launch a new blog;  Blogged On Bras-I may well be thanking the senders of bra themed emails for sending so many to me. This got me thinking about Spam (as I also get many bra emails in spam) and noticed how a web based email provider-www.mail.com that I recently signed up for is lacking Spam in my Inbox or anywhere else.
Mail.com is I think a great web based email service provider and if you're looking to open a new email account I recommend trying them. What I have found with Mail.com more then any other email provider is how good their Spam detector is. Since opening the account I have had no Spam. So far, after being with them for getting on for 3 months I have had no Spam at all, not in my Inbox, not in my Spam folder, no where. This is without submitting my email anywhere but to one person so far regarding a business venture on my CV (I use the email I'm talking about as a work email). Now, when ever I have signed up to a new email account in the past, after checking back for the first time since starting the account a few hours later, I have been flooded with Spam, whether I have given the email to anywhere else or not. Giving out the email to certain websites then can increase the spam received massively to.
So it's either that by chance no one has tried to Spam me, or it's that Mail.com have very good spam filters. I plan on posting some email service provider reviews soon and Mail.com will be rating very high. So, if you're interested in looking at what Mail.com has to offer head over to

Myspace 'Pure Music' Social Networking Site

You may of seen that social networking website myspace has been made into a 'Pure Music' website so that the uploaded content is now only on music. While in some ways I am thinking they want to focus their user uploaded content to music, I liked the fact that they offered other user generated content to be showcased such as comedy and types of film and they do still have other video content uploaded. I have been a bit of a twitterer and a facebooker of recent weeks(I mean I have been on both facebook and twitter of recent weeks more then other social networking sites, but I am a fan of some of the myspace features and have got back to using them too. They have some great new features such as Daily Charts for the uploaded videos. I think their shaping up as a very good user generated video website with its ideas. If you haven't got into myspace you may want to take a look

Yes, I have been thinking of layout ideas for this blog like for example some graphical elements.

Why Men Have Nippples

Well a 'Website Thanks' to MSN for their intreasting part I read on an article on answering questions that people were not sure of the answer to-including the question of why men have nipples. I wondered and thought on that and I think their reported idea could be acurate that its to do with the stage where the embyro could be either male or female and has not yet developed to either so the nipples are on . Who's said you don't learn online? Thirsty work this. Time for a Pepsi.
Yep, I'm aware to take note of how I write my tags for this post, thanks.

An Anoying MSN Hotmail Note In Using Their E-Mail Service

MSN Hotmail Anoyity
I thought to mention something I had come across about Hotmail. Well I had 30+ days without logging in to my Hotmail account and Hotmail decided to 'suspend' my account. You may think its just a case of resetting my log in details but no, theirs more because not only did I lose my emails when I resigned up to the account after the suspension I had with that account but I also got my contacts removed from MSN Messenger. Now I don't remember all those contacts emails and some of them were people who I was in contact online only and so I don't have their other details to ask for their email back to re-add them. Now this I find really annoying. Maybe somewhere in the Terms and Conditions of using MSN it was mentioned that if you did not log in after more then 30days into your account it would be suspended and you will lose details like contacts and emails but I don't remember that. Maybe MSN have stopped doing this to peoples accounts-but I thought to mention it just incase they were still doing it. Will I'm annoyed with MSN and its another reason why certain other email providers may be better in not taking people's important online Messenger and email information of. The reason why I had stayed with MSN was mainly for their Messenger as it is, I can get their email services better elsewhere. Has anyone else found MSN suspend their account and then reset details like contacts and emails? After all their called be reasons why people are not log in in to their MSN Hotmail accounts-I think I didn't have access to the Internet at the time and I think once I was unable to login to my Hotmail account for nearly 30days when I was trying to log in! I understand their can be faults with services such as Hotmail, but why reset people's contacts and emails just if their account wasn't used after 30days-that's only a couple of weeks-it seems to be one of those annoying things that Microsoft have done to their service. Oh and if anyone knows any ways where I could get back my lost contacts and emails-I'm very grateful and I have emailed Microsoft in the past and not found a reply from them so perhaps you lot may have some more helpful tips.

Clocks Go Foward! Windows 7!

Oh, Hi on Blogged On Internet. Last time I posted on Blogged On Internet, I did a post mentioning the clocks going forward and this time it's time for them to go back again(2am time for those affected). But since last time of talking about changing the clocks I have been working on some new ideas for Blogged On Internet. Here are some of them:

1. New Layout Theme
2. Changing Blogged On Internet To A Name That Includes Other Computer-Related Content That's Not Online-rather then make a new blog-Blogged On Computer Related Content That's Not Online
3. New Features For The Blog, including reviews for a certain kind of website (ie. auction website or survey website)
4. And maybe some other stuff is on its way. Maybe I'll work on a new operating system for your computers: Windows XP-The Return. That sounds like a movie, but with the way Vista has been not working sometimes I think that may be a welcome sequel.

Windows 7

Know about Windows 7? See the advert? Acording to the advert Windows 7 was invented by a girl while she was in a cab and had the idea for the system, which, this being Microsoft they quickly brought up the idea off her. Still they let her appear in the ads(that was her and not an actor right?) Well the question is what is Windows 7 like? Will it run smoothly? Will it run video games without the screen presenting various square symbols? Or Will it do that annoying 'fade screen white' effect that Vista does if its not responding-(if its not responding then how come it can do that 'fade screen white' thing-it can respond when it wants, eh)? Well I noticed I had an email about Windows 7 so I thought I'd read up on it-oh the emails are not working on Opera now either(had trouble with Hotmail working today think Hotmail may have gone on strike too-see Online Notes for more on that). Ok, so its load up Mozilla Firefox-will that work for Hotmail? Yes it worked on Mozilla Firefox. Well on reading the email there is an introduction explaining : "You Use Your PC And Windows Live TM nearly every day"( Actually I rarely use Windows Live more the alternative comucation software avaliable). "Now Windows 7 makes the things you do every day even easier?"(Wow, wait untill I tell her! Err,ahem. Oh. Oppsss). "Windows 7 is full of ideas from Windows Live Users Like You"(Erm Ok, but I didn't give any ideas here). "Like simplifying the way you use your PC and making it easy to connect to the people, places, and things in your life with Windows Live" (Simpifying the way you use your PC-a Microsoft operating system simpifying the way a PC is used? Making it easy to connect to the people, places, and things in your life with Windows Live-(well could Windows 7 achive integerating Windows Live into Windows 7 well as a comunication tool?) Well, here we are then. An introduction to Windows 7. Well on the email there is this link to 'Discover Windows 7' so I thought I could do that and review the feature ideas-however the site didn't load-no not at all. Not loading on Firefox. Maybe its because Firefox don't want a Microsoft site to load or maybe its just the site not working-possiably becaus of traffic-other sites have been loading fine a few seconds ago. Oh well. If the 'Discover Windows 7' page does load maybe I can come back with a feature ideas review.

Online Notes (24/10/09)

When I last tried to access Hotmail on Windows Internet Explorer 8 I got to see my emails titles and who they were sent/spammed by and the date they were sent/spammed but on trying to click on an email it refused to open it-at least that's never happened to me when I've tried to open an envelope! Hmm, will Hotmail work properly on Opera browser? Guess what? It did. Yes an email service provided by Microsoft worked on the browser they didn't create.

Clocks Back At 1am(Why?) And Website Updates

Clocks Back At 1am people here in UK,does anyone know why? Is it like some scientific reason or not? Is it to try and trick the clocks into thinking its a different time then it is,why and what is Day Light Saving Time? Who comes up with these things and why has our VCR already gone foward an hour its not time yet!
Google Adsense On Your Blogger
Nice to see that the Googlelites, have put on a Monetise link on to the blog homepage, a handy placed link to check your adsense stats if you have signed up and put adsense on to your Blogger. Adsense is the system that let's you put Google Ads on your site and you can earn from them if people access them. The thing that can be nice about Google Adsense (apart from you can earn money from it) is the fact that the adverts displayed on your blog can be related to your post.A possiable genius idea and If you want to sign up to adsense you can go to their site.
twitter
If you havnt yet joined up to twitter I really do recommend it,you can follow peoples updates, post your own, your might be able to make new friends, follow people's updates you are intreasted in and post messages to Celebs, you may even get a reply. I'v had a couple of intreasting messages both with celebs and non-celebs, and there has been some very intreasting conversations going on twitter! Plus with the twitter pic section you can showcase pics too and view others, plus with compatiablility with things like Iphone and and a well laid out interface with some nice featuers it really does come across as been very user-friendley orintated.
The URL is twitter.com, if you see a cute bird then you might be on the right site, or maybe you have some how got on to duffy.com
If ya wanna follow me on twitter, or request for me to follow you,I'm stuwieben on it! Direct Link: http://www.twitter.com/stuwieben

A Little Money Earner-For You And Me

Wondering where the Secret Code Earner Website went-it turned to this: http://www.myshoppingarcade.com/?invited_by=bennyanga
Ok. Here is a site which I really like the idea of.It allows you create your own virtual Shopping Arcade. Like the sound of that? Wonder how you can earn money from that? Well the idea is this.
You could earn money with the traditional method of cashback-buy or use a service from the selection avaliable yourself- earning the percentage of cashback stated-or invite someone else to do that-Create Your Own Shopping Arcade.
You are able to create an online shopping arcade by giving it a name first, perhaps to do whith what you want your Arcade to sell and what types of shops you want it to contain(you can have more then 1 shop). So you can add the shops (online merchants that are avaliable to select from) into your arcade.Yes but how do you earn money from doing this? Well because each time someone clicks a online merchant that you have reccommended then you can earn some cashback if they use that website service. So how do you get the shops (online merchants) into your arcade?Well take a look at the ways to earn section to find out. Click here if you want to visit the site (yes this is how I can earn money into my account if you click my link to get there-if you send your link by email,on blogs, ect then you can earn for anyones clicks)
http://www.myshoppingarcade.com/?invited_by=bennyanga

I have not yet earnt enough for cashback, but if I do then I could perhaps report it here to let you know of success rate and if anyone else has then please feel free to give feedback on if you got the money you owned.
